oxalis deppei (Lucky Clover)

Lucky Clover

(oxalis tetraphylla, oxalis deppei, oxalis esculenta)
Oxalidáceae

-no endangered genus- (cultivated plant)

Oxalis deppei was imported from Mexico in 1822 and is one of the species which are not hardy. The long-stemmed leaves which are in contact with the soil can be 30 cm in height and comprise four parts. The genera bugleweed, Iron Cross and Alba are mainly cultivated. The propagation takes place by means of offset bulbs as oxalis deppei doesn't produce seeds in climates like ours.
